Wordy Wednesday

Hi Everyone! Boy, it’s been wayyyyy too long since we’ve made an appearance!

My humom has been juggling a few things and has less time to help me type out my blogs! My chubby little paws just can’t type on these tiny human keyboards!

We’ve been enjoying the nice fall weather here in Vancouver. I’ll leave you with this photo!

Hope all of you are well and are out enjoying the fall weather too!

Throwback Thursday – Family Art Night!

It’s another Throwback Thursday! This week I want to share with you more stuff we did when my Auntie was here!

Did you know that my humom’s whole family is really artistic? My humom’s mom loves to watercolor and recently she has been painting more.

I guess that really inspired my Auntie because she wanted to do a family art night during her visit! They got out all their art paper and watercolor paints and started setting up. My humom’s dad didn’t join us though. He wanted to play his ookaleelee.

I tried to help! Actually no, that’s a lie, I just wanted to sit on Auntie’s lap.

Then I went over to see what my humom’s mom was up to.

I wanted to see what she was painting but I wasn’t allowed to jump on her lap. Hmph.

I’m bored….Nymeria play with me!

My humom had been working on a pencil sketch for Wilhelmina’s humom so she decided to continue with that project.

Do you see all those beautiful color pencils in the background? Apparently they are really expensive and my humom couldn’t afford to buy them so my humom’s mom bought them for her birthday! Her birthday was at the end of March, right when Auntie came to visit! It was perfect timing!

We were getting bored and wanted to play on the couch but we weren’t allowed. Dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture at my humom’s parents’ house. What kind of ridiculous rule is that!

Whaddaya mean we’re not allowed on the couch??

Mom! Wanna take a break and give us a treat because we’re so adorable??? Heehee…

How can you resist these eyes???

Our humom finally got the hint and stuffed us with treats and we took a nap while everyone was working on their art.

It started to get late so my humom packed up her stuff and we were ready to go home. She wasn’t able to finish her sketch but she made some good progress!

This is what her mom painted! She was practicing how to draw trees and leaves for her next painting project.

My Auntie finished her watercolor and it looked amazing! She painted her boyfriend’s dog Gnocchi. He’s a really tiny white Chihuahua. Isn’t he cute?

I hope on their next art night someone will paint a picture of ME!

Do you have any paintings or sketches of yourself? Do you have any favorite artwork?

Sunday Funday

Hi guys! Hope you’re having a fun weekend! We’re back at low tide again and boy was it a blast!

With the weather warming up a bit, the humoms want to take us out here as much as possible! There’s so much more running space out here, it seems endless!

With long legs like mine, I need to RUN RUN RUN!!!

My humom still has to watch out for Mia though, we recently found out that she’s got mild elbow and hip dysplasia so humom limits the amount of running she gets to do. That’s why you always see Mia with her ball. As long as Mia has her ball she’s happy! She’s always in her own little world when it comes to balls! BOL!

Wilhelmina also likes balls! She found one while we were out on low tide!

She likes to tease us with it to get us to chase her!

And of course, we can never forget about Duffy! He may be little but he can still run with the big girls!

The humoms failed at getting an obligatory posed photo with all of us looking at the camera. Don’t they know by now it’s an impossible mission, especially when we’re out on low tide??? Sheesh. They’re always so hopeful BOL!

Oops! We’re missing Duffy!

Now we’re missing Avalon! Where did she go??

Oh well this will have to do! Now time to play!

Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Throwback Thursday – Nymeria is making progress!

Today marks exactly 6 months since Nymeria has been here and she’s made a lot of progress! She is still very weary of strangers, especially men but she loves all the humans at her daycare and she is slowly warming up to Uncle Erik and Wilhelmina’s hudad.

Back in March when my Auntie was visiting, Nymeria made a huge breakthrough with her! She let my Auntie pet her and give her treats but the biggest thing of all was…She started playing with her! My Auntie was so happy and so were we!

It was a shame that Auntie didn’t visit for very long, she was only here for a week. Nymeria warmed up to her the last day before Auntie went back to Boston.

Hopefully when Auntie comes back in the summer time Nymeria will remember back to this visit and warm up to her again!

Friday Fun – My First Low Tide!

Hi Guys! Nymeria here! Hope everyone had a great Easter Long weekend! I sure did! I got to experience my first low tide!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! The best part was I got to experience it for the first time with my bestie Avalon and the rest of my pack!

As you know Wilhelmina and Mia have gone to low tide lots of times and boy do they always have fun! Now it was my turn!

Hurry up and throw the ball mom!

Notice Mia’s fleece is falling off? BOL! Yup that’s typical Mia for you…she doesn’t even notice it, she just keeps playing. The water is still quite cold in April so our humom wanted to make sure Mia didn’t get too cold.

Mia says that if we’re really well behaved humom will take us lots more times this summer! I promise I’ll be on my best behavior!

Have you guys ever been to low tide? Do you love it as much as we do?

Throwback Thursday – New Toy!

Happy Thursday everyone! These past few weeks have been quite busy for us!

The first couple of weeks I had to lay low because we found out that I have mild hip and elbow displaysia 😦

As you know, laying low and resting are not in my vocabulary!! I was pretty bummed about the news until….

….My Auntie came to visit! She’s my favorite Auntie in the whole wide world!!!! I just can’t help it when I see her I just go crazy!

This time she had a surprise for me!

She made me a couple of rope toys! She used some of her old t-shirts and magically turned it into a tug toy!!  It was perfect timing since my humom couldn’t take me out to run off my energy, this was a great way to tire me out!

Auntie and I tested it out and it was a lot of fun!

Play with me mom!

And of course, the obligatory pose with my new toys…sigh…

Thank you Auntie for my new toys! I love them so much!

Do you guys like to play with rope or tug toys?

Happy Easter!

Hi Friends! Hope everyone is having a great Easter weekend! We’ve been having too much fun these past couple of weeks that we’ve been missing in action here in Blogville! We’ve got so much to share with you, stay tuned!

In the meantime, Happy Easter!

Mia: Is the humiliation over yet???

Nymeria: I don’t know what Mia is complaining about…Easter is delicious!

Avalon: I agree with Mia, this is humiliating!

Avalon: I’m so over it!; Nymeria: Nom nom nom…

World Sleep Day!

Hey Everyone! Apologies again, we have been missing in action…again…I have been dealing with some issues with my leg and we had to go back to the vet.

We got some x-rays done and my humom will be getting a call from the vet today or tomorrow. I guess for the next couple of weeks we will be laying low. I won’t be able to do the things I love for a while…like running on the beach, exploring the forest or my favorite: playing fetch!

I guess it’s fitting that today is World Sleep Day! It’s time to sleep and recover! Happy sleeping everyone!

Nosework class!

Guess what friends! My mom signed me up for this super fun class called Nosework! I sniff out these smells that are hidden in boxes and when I find it I get treats! It’s super fun!

The only part I didn’t like was having to wait my turn. I’m not a very patient pup!

When is it my turn mom??

How long do I have to wait? Sigh…

My classmates had a really good time too!

This is Lola the Vizla. She was very excitable and bounced around a lot.

This is Tucker the Beagle. He was around my age, we played a little while we waited for our turns. He was really vocal and barked a lot because he was so excited! Who could blame him??

I got really good at it by the last few classes but as you can see based on the videos, my humom still needs to practice…she kept forgetting the cue word!

I can’t wait for Level 2!

Do you guys participate in any kind of nosework class? How did you like it? Share it in the comments!
